In the chainsaw series, scenes depict dynamic motion—such as flying sawdust and physical tension in the model’s stance—to maximize realism. Selective color techniques were applied to emphasize product branding, isolating the tool in vivid color against black-and-white backgrounds. This directs viewer focus and reinforces the brand’s presence.
In contrast, the lawn mower scene presents a moment of stillness after work, adding a contemplative mood to functional imagery. By pairing industrial design with a serene human gesture, the image connects performance with user experience—both visually and emotionally.
All scenes were shot in natural outdoor locations. Rather than artificially controlling light, the shoot embraced natural sunlight, enhancing realism through direction and contrast. Supplemental lighting was used only as needed, prioritizing dimensionality and texture fidelity.
