Elune Mode 2025 SS Lookbook – Outdoor Golfwear Photography Experience
Shooting Begins in Australia
Elune Mode is a golfwear brand born in Australia, created with a strong awareness of the problems caused by fast fashion. They pride themselves on the quality of their fabrics and even the smallest components, and my role was to translate that confidence into images. The shoot took place on a coastal site we had previously scouted, but due to unpredictable winds, using lighting was uncertain.
Natural Light and Real Conditions
On set, the strong winds made artificial lighting unusable. With vehicles unable to reach the site, all gear had to be carried in by hand. Fortunately, the weather was clear, allowing us to rely solely on natural light. The model worked smoothly and efficiently, and the shoot progressed quickly. Still, I couldn’t help but feel the discomfort of not being able to use the lighting I was accustomed to.
Letting Go of Control
I usually rely heavily on artificial lighting in my work. Controlled environments help me create exactly the image I want, and losing that control often brings anxiety. This shoot, however, forced me to let go. I had to adjust and adapt, responding to changes in light and wind in real time.
A Shift in My Perspective
This golfwear shoot for Elune Mode became more than just an outdoor project. It marked a personal turning point in how I approach photography. I realized that I could trust the moment and the environment to contribute to the final image. I’ll still carry my lights, of course—but I’ve begun to accept that sometimes, the wind and sun offer their own kind of artistry.
